About Us

A person will never love their job, until they didn’t get the chance to choose their career for which they dreamed about.

Training Facilities at the Academy of Carver Aviation

The instructors and staff of the Academy are some of the finest in the aviation industry. Their vast experience is a matter of pride for the ACAPL. The Academy has been at the forefront of some of the best placements in the aviation industry over the past three decades. Faculty members impart the technical knowledge and soft skills required to succeed in the DGCA certification examination. There is a focus not just on academic excellence but on life-skills grooming for healthy career development. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged for both mental and physical growth. Interactions with industry stalwarts and site visits help keep abreast of the latest happenings in the commercial aeronautical space. The ambience is conducive to learning in a well-structured manner. Student loans could be made available for eligible candidates for the AME course fees of ACAPL.

ACAPL has a fleet of 11 Aircraft available that can be flown by day and night. Carver is unaffected by the winter fog of North India or Monsoon winds in South India. This allows for all season flying. With flying comes the opportunity to maintain and test live engines constantly. The aircraft available with ACAPL are the King-Air B-200, King-Air C-90, Partenavia P-68C, Cessna 152 and 172, amongst others. The scope of training thus spans complete maintenance, engine overhauling, autopilot maintenance, non-destructive testing and beyond. ACAPL have its own CAR-145 DGCA approved MRO.

The AME training program of ACAPL is approved by the DGCA, which in turn follows the standard operating process of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annexure 1. Thus, the scope of employment is eventually global. One need not be confined to the borders of India to seek fulfilling careers.

The Bright Future of Certified Aircrafts Maintenance Engineers (AMEs)

The post-pandemic period has seen a resurgence in the aviation industry in India. Opportunities are available with Airlines, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul MRO entities and Aircraft manufacturing Companies. Some key MRO entities are Air Works – headquartered in Mumbai, with units in Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Hubli, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. Max Aerospace and Aviation Ltd – Mumbai. HAMCO (Hyderabad Aircraft Maintenance Company) – Hyderabad. HAL Hindustan Aeronautics Limited – Bangalore. Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) has been manufacturing aero-structures for Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter in Telangana.

Seemingly Similar, Yet Completely Different

An Aircraft / Airplane Maintenance Engineer and an Aeronautical Engineer, while seeming similar to the uninitiated, are quite different in many ways. While the former is involved with maintenance, repairs and overhauls of aircraft frames and engines, the latter gets involved right from designing aircraft and their propulsion systems to their functioning.
